Permission for amendments to the development previously permitted under reg. ref. 21/7265, on lands at Knockgriffin (Imokilly), Knockgriffin (Barrymore) and Water Rock, Midelton, Co.Cork. The application site is generally bounded by the Northern Relief road to the north and east, CGI Food Park to the south and agricultural land to the west. The proposed development, which will be located in the part of the site commonly known as 'Dawn South', will consist of the following: (1) the provision of 20 no. 2 storey, 3 bed semi-detached houses, in lieu of the previously permitted 16 no. 3 storey, 3 bed terraced units at Blocks 1 & 2. (2). The provision of 4 no. semi-detached houses, comprising 2 no. B4 (2 storey, 3 bed units) and 2 no. B5 (2.5 storey, 5 bed units), in lieu of the previously permitted 6 storey apartment Blocks D & E (which comprised of 8 no. 1 bed units, 20 no. 2 bed units and 2 no. 3 bed units), (3) to amend the previously permitted plot 29 & 34 within Block 7 to facilitate a change in house type to house type D2, in lieu of house type E3.1 and E3.2 and change in unit type of 30-33 within Block 7 to house type B2 in lieu of house type D3.1. (4). Revisions to Blocks 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 & 17 to now provide 16 no. units consisting of 2 storey, 3 bed, semi detached units ( 4 no. B2.1 and 4 no. B1.1 house types and 8 no. B2 house types) and 2 no. 2 storey, 4 bed, D1 house type, detached units, with in-curtilage car parking, in lieu of the previously permitted 8 no. semi-detached and 12 no. terraced units 2 storey, 3 bed units, along with the omission of the previously permitted 'mews' road between the blocks to now provide a new road to the north of Blocks 12-14 and south of Blocks 15-17. (5). A change of house type at Blocks 9, 10 to now provide 4 no. 2 storey, 3 bed, B2 house type, semi-detached units and Blocks 8 & 11 to now provide 4 no. 2 storey, 3 bed, B2.1 house type, in lieu of the 8 no. previously permitted 2.5 storey 4 bed semi-detached units. (6) Provision of 2 no. house type D2 (2 storey, 4 bed detached unit), in lieu of the previously permitted 2 no. house type D at previously permitted plot 28 & 35 (2 storey, 4 bed detached unit), (7) a change of house type at previously permitted Blocks 3, 4, 5 & 6 to B1, B2, B2.1, D1 in lieu of the previously permitted B3.2, B3.3, B3.4, B3.2A, B3.4A, B3.3A, C3.1A, A3.1, D1 & C3.1 house types. (8) The proposed development would also consist of associated amendments to the previously permitted landscaping and boundary treatments, as well as associated site development works necessary to facilitate the proposed development.
